Everyone has New Year's Resolutions, but I can't really say I have any. I do however want to continue to grow in my church duties, and become even stronger in my faith. Aside from that, I will just see what happens, I am not really a vagabond wandering aimlessly, but I have learned to just take things as they come and appreciate it all, both good and bad.
2009 was pretty cool though. I had my ups and downs, but I think it just helped me to grow. Some highlights included the following (sorry if I miss anything, I'm doing this late at night lol):
January:
I was given the responsibility to lead about 90 children in a musical number for our District GEM. That was quite the experience, I was hesitant at first, but I'm so glad that I was able to have that experience, I gained a lot of little friends and their performance brought a tear to my eye :)
May:
I participated in the District-wide Track and Field tournament, spraining my ankle on a practice jump, but still being stupid enough to run one race hahaha. No more long jump for me next year unless I'm really sure the sand is soft :)
June:
My first birthday in Cali. Had KBBQ of course and had a lot of fun :) Joy's & Daddy Willy's birthdays were also this month!
July:
One of my best friends, Frank, starts med school here in Cali, at UCLA! We went to the 95th Anniversary Celebration in San Jose, what an awesome experience singing in a choir with like 2000 brethren. Fred's birthday was also this month! And Irene also comes to stay with us for 6 weeks! Now I have company every day yay!
August:
Our anniversary! We went to Catalina Island for a weekend and it was awesome! Snorkeling and parasailing were the top activities on our list hehe. But also in this month, God also laid to rest his servant, Bro. Erano G. Manalo, an inspiration to all of us whom he dedicated his life to out of love.
September:
Kuya Jodick celebrates his birthday this month! And Irene leaves Cali to go to school in NJ. Sniff sniff :(' I think we start helping as Buklod officers this month - me first, then Fred followed suit yay!
October:
WE MOVE INTO OUR FIRST APARTMENT! Yay! Xbox 360 projected onto wall. Enough said LOL jk.
November:
We have our apartment warming party - thanks to everyone who came and had fun with us! Went to our first Pacquio party hahaha. And did indoor skydiving which is AWESOME!
December:
Year end thanksgiving, and trip to NJ! YAY!!
And NJ is where I am currently. I'm getting sad b/c it's almost time to go back to Cali. Not that Cali is a bad place but of course, home is home. I'm going to miss everyone. From the moment I got back, I felt like everything was the same hehehe. Sure, people grow or change in certain ways, but our bonds are stronger than ever. I'm going to be sad to leave it so soon, but it's okay. One day I'll be back for good. If it's not against God's will, hopefully we can come back sooner rather than later..
