Last Saturday, May 30, I had the honor of taking pictures alongside Ate Joan and Kuya Ryan for their photography company, Es-Sense. I guess we can call it "third-shooting" hehehe..
It was Meinrad and Gaile's special day, and it was quite lovely. I wish them the best in their future together, with God's blessing I'm sure they will have a good ol' time hahaha. Every wedding I go to just brings me back to how I felt on my wedding day, it just makes me feel so happy to know that another couple has found each other and can't wait to spend the rest of their lives together :).
As for shooting, I learned a LOT. I cannot thank Ate Joan enough for letting me be her sidekick that day. I hope I didn't get in her way... tooo much lol. I remember when we first got to Gaile's hotel room, I was scared to take pictures of stuff b/c I didn't want to break or lose anything (for example, the rings, the dress, etc hahaha). You watch those things happen on tv sitcoms where someone gets something on the bride's dress or something and tries to fix it but only makes it worse... and for some reason those scenarios were running through my mind hahaha. Eventually I got over it and started carefully handling everything, and trying to figure out how to take a creative shot..
Hopefully I did alright, but I have a lot more knowledge to gain. I've gotta get better at dealing with different types of light so I don't have to do too much Photoshop HAHAHA. And I have to be more aggressive sometimes in terms of rallying for position when there's professional photographers and guests both trying to take pictures of an event, hehe. Plus, I'm still trying to learn what makes a good picture.. sometimes when I do editing, I don't know what to do to make it better, so yeah... hahaha.
Ate Joan, hopefully you can use a few of the pictures I took, I hope I didn't let you down lol. And thank you again! I look forward to doing more stuff for Es-Sense in the future.
Yay Natasha!!! Great job!! and... YOU GOT THE DRESS SHOT I wanted ;o) Thank you, Thank you, Thank you SO MUCH!!! Really, you did a great job!
ReplyDeleteYOURE GETTING GOOD! I'm jealous! haha
ReplyDeleteOK, so how do I get to be a 2nd, 3rd or 100th shooter? I would love to shoot a wedding just to see what it is like. To see if I could actually do it in the future.
