I met Jamie at church one fateful Sunday. I was 7 and she was 9. It's so easy for Jamie to approach people she's never met before and just start talking. That's one of the things I've always admired about her. All I know is I was shy and by myself and she saw me and decided to come and talk to me. She proceeded to teach me cursive in that same meeting - hahaha. Next thing I know, her family moves away, and I'm wondering - where's that nice girl who kept me company and taught me cursive?
Fast forward about 8 years. By this time in her life, Jamie has lived in several awesome places - Cali, New York, but now she's back in Jersey. It's like she never was gone. We instantly picked up where we left off and I consider her one of my closest friends.
And now, she's engaged to an awesome guy, Jordan. I couldn't be happier for them! Now, when it comes to long-distance relationships, these two were able to do the super-long-distance thing for several years! And we're talking New Jersey/Hawaii long-distance! Yes, Jordan is from HAWAII!!! That's more intense than Fred and me, we were just New Jersey/Cali hahahahaha! I remember Jamie and Jordan talking on the phone at crazy hours during the day, like either super early or super late.. b/c it's like a 5 hour time zone difference.. or something like that. CRAZY! But when you're crazy in love, neither time zones or distance can get in the way, and that's what makes love so beautiful.
Luckily, now Jordan is only a 2 hour drive away, since he moved to NY a little while agao and Jamie is in NJ. Still long distance, but much better than 5 time zones, and in 2011, they will finally be in the same state, time zone, and home HAHAHAHAHAHA!
I'm so glad that these two found each other and that I had the opportunity to document their love. This is our run-and-gun engagement session in New York City!! It was a bit chilly, but it was a LOT of fun. These two were up for anything and since I'm also up for anything, I couldn't ask for anything more!
Hope you enjoy the pictures!
And yes, since it's "The Big Apple" - hahahaha!
aww congratulations jamie and jordan!! :D
