Road Trip Day 5 - Monday: St. Louis, Missouri

So I know it took me a while to get back to this, but here's day 5 of the road trip!  We slept in Rolla, MO at the end of Day 4 and got up early to check out the mini Stonehenge in the town.  It wasn't what I expected, but it was cool. Fred was more thrilled about it than I hehe.  I guess I expected it to look just LIKE the bigger Stonehenge, you know, with all the worn down rocks and stuff.  But it's a bunch of straight cut rocks, what a let down! Jk :)

After that, we headed stopped along Rt. 66 to check out the the world's largest rocking chair.  Stupid van was in the way, but we were able to take pictures some a different angle haha.  But the van does also give you a perspective on how big this thing is.  Also, there was a random canon there:

Next, we stopped at St. Louis, MO to check out the Gateway Arch.  It was pretty cool. You have to ride into a little pod thing to get to the top.  Here's some shots:

Here's the view from inside the top:

And here's some more shots.. St. Louis is pretty. Top right is the window you look out of when you're at the top of the arch.  Bottom left is an example of the pod you have to squeeze into to go up. By the end of the day, we were in Dayton, OH.

The end! Day 6 coming soon!! (But don't expect too much, being that it was our last day of the trip and I was antsy to get home, there's not much we did haha).
