First Attempt at Photoshop: Domo-kun Goes to the Alps

So today I took a few tutorials on Photoshop CS3. I'm still very limited in what I can do, but I really have learned a great deal with just watching about 20 minutes worth of watching videos on http://www.graphicsdistrict.com. I highly recommend this site - there's all these great video tutorials for all levels of skill.


I asked Domo-kun (Fred's plush toy who is the mascot spokesthingy for some Japanese channel I've never heard of) to be my subject.


He was a little shy at first and was hiding in the window, but I convinced him this would be quick and painless.







He sat down for me after I bribed him with the promise of a brand new sports car and a trip to the Alps..

So below is all I got so far. But it's a start and I feel accomplished. I was able to cut him out and put him in a new place. I know it doesn't look real at all, but whatever, let me have my moment. It is the start of great things to come, I hope. So this post really wasn't much, but yeah hahahaha. I have some ideas brewing in my head so look out for random Photoshop stuff in the future... once I learn a few more things ;)
